Hello Band Parents. This website will hopefully be a helpful tool to you throughout the year. I will try to make sure that everything I pass out to the kids in class is also available on this site.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at coneb@mcsin-k12.org, or call me at 822-5030. E-mailing me will probably yield a faster response as I check it quite frequently throughout the day.
News:
Night of Expressive Arts:
Friday, February 10, will be a "Night of Expressive Arts." Several students from the Band and Choir programs will be performing two short concerts that evening beginning at 6:00 and 6:30 pm.
A list of band students particpating will be posted as soon as it is available.

Solo & Ensemble:
Saturday, January 28 was the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest for band students. 55 students from Northridge Middle School particpated. NMS had a very succesful weekend because 49 received Gold Ratings and 6 received Silver Ratings.
Among the 6th Graders that took solos to contest were Tatiana Friesen, Tyler Mast, Cayden Cover, Shelby Bontrager, Hayllie Miller, Matthew Sheridan, Evan Luebbehusen, Katelyn Kilmer, Tatiana Perrault, Adam Maas, Andrew Ostrander, Anna Staltari, Cayden Cover, and Isaiah Zuercher. Anton Skorobogatko received a perfect score for his Alto Saxophone Solo.
The 6th Grade Percussion section took an an ensemble to contest, and those students are Cayden Cover, Isaiah Zuercher, Ria Reschley, Mitchell Williams, and Rose Thomas.
7th Graders that took solos to contest were Luke Wogoman, Laura Black, Andrew Maas, and Aman Patel who all received Golds.
Those that played in an ensemble were Luke Wogoman, Michael Castillo, Imani Warner-Lima, Laura Black, Kelly Blough, Ben Zuercher, Robert Goodie Bag, Connor Smith, Derek Varner, Max Teunissen, Julie Steele, Logan Riffell, Bradley Swank, Nicholas Forbes, Abigail Bache, Brandon Hunsberger, Tristan Swihart, Camden Koch, and Lauren Jennings, who all received Golds.
8th Graders that took solos to contest were Lizzie Sommers, Isabella Staltari, Laura Hanson, and Abbie French. Those that participated in an ensemble were Madison Smucker, Allison Lantz, Kaitlin "Oink" Stephens, Lizzie Sommers, Nick Blough, Girish Sivakanthan, Logan Arendt, Sydney Fogle, Loren Schrock, Chris Mitschelen, and Connor Deal.
